About Chef Christopher
Meet Chef Christopher Fread, a culinary expert with 15 years of experience. His cooking style is true to his Greek-Mediterranean roots, and his vision is to redefine Greek cuisine. Christopher is a highly experienced culinary professional with a diverse background in various styles of service. He started his career working in a Country club, a Greek Bistro, and then interning at Daniel Boulud's Cafe Boulud. Christopher has been recognized for his talent, winning the 2010 Best Teen Chef of Fort Lauderdale and the James Beard Foundation Down South Scholarship. As a Sous Chef he has worked in six deluxe resorts for the Walt Disney World Resort, including the flagship AAA Four Diamond Resort Disney's Grand Floridian, where he worked at the Michelin recommended restaurant Citricos. Christopher has also opened three new properties, two for Disney and one for Loews Universal. His passion for culinary arts is evident, and he is committed to inspiring others through his culinary philosophy.
Picture this: a five-year-old Christopher, on his tippy toes, peering over the wooden counter, trying to catch a glimpse of his Yiayia cooking traditional Greek food. Fast forward to today, he's a culinary graduate from the International Culinary School at the Art Institutes, with top honors, no less! And now, he's an experience chef cooking up a storm as a Sous Chef for the Walt Disney Company, making magic happen at Walt Disney World Resorts.
